I am excited for you to be part of room 10’s learning community! From a young age, I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I received my teaching credential and masters from UCLA. Then, I began my career teaching fourth grade in South LA. After four years, I moved to Shenandoah and have been teaching fifth grade for the last eight years. I love teaching upper grade and preparing students for middle school. In room 10, students learn to be collaborative, think critically, use creativity and communicate ideas, so that they can be successful in today’s world. I believe that it is important for students to become active participants in their own education. Students are encouraged to ask questions when they need help and to always try their best. Together, we can make learning engaging and meaningful!
